Iqaluit releases plan to reopen some recreational facilities – Nunavut News

The City of Iqaluit is reopening recreational facilities in stages amid Covid-19.

Indoor recreational facilities have been closed in Iqaluit since March due to Covid-19.

The Aquatic Centre will offer limited access to pools at first. The fitness centre and studio are due to reopen during the second phase of Nunavut’s Path reopening plans. There are no confirmed dates yet for these reopenings.

“However it is expected that the facility will be opened at limited and/or altered capacity in early July,” read a City of Iqaluit press release issued Thursday.
