The Saskatchewan Trails Association (STA) was incorporated in July 2004 with the mandate to promote the development and use of recreational trails throughout Saskatchewan. The STA was created through a stakeholder process led by the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA).
Since its inception, the STA has been hard at work: developing funding initiatives, advocating for trail development, promoting and inventorying the trail network, and working with stakeholder organizations to help promote sustainable trails. The STA was the lead agency in completing the province’s first-ever strategic planning document for Saskatchewan trails: Pathway to Success.
The STA would be glad to hear from you if you have any concerns, questions or news about the TCT or other trails in Saskatchewan. Learn how to contact us.
Our Vision
- Provide support to local trail clubs, including resource materials and education programs regarding trail development; facilitate communication among trail clubs and fundraising;
- Promote trails in Saskatchewan;
- Advocate to the government on behalf of trails in the Province of Saskatchewan regarding issues such as insurance, funding and land use (road allowances, community pastures, easements, etc.)
